Installation of the GroupWise e-mail system is as follows:
To install the GroupWise program to your computer just follow these steps. 1. Click on Start and bring up Run. 2. Type this in the box, g:\tmp\groupwise\win32\setup 3. For some machines, the program will install Windows messaging first. Continue with #4 if you get a message about installing Windows Messaging. This will not happen if you are upgrading GroupWise or reinstalling. Go to #7. 4. Say Yes or Next and the machine will then need to reboot, click yes to reboot 5. Log back in, and the install of GroupWise should start up 6. If the install does not automatically start back up, do steps #1 and #2 again and then come back to #7. 7. For most of the next screens click on Next, the install uses the values from your previous install. a. Check "Standard Install" NEXT b. Leave the install directory where it is, C:\Novell\Groupwise NEXT c. Check "GroupWise system" and NOT "Internet Browser Integration" or "Tip of the Day" NEXT d. Leave the "Program Folders" alone NEXT e. Do not check GroupWise Notify. You can run GroupWise and leave it open all day instead of using up network bandwidth checking your mail every few minutes which is what Notify does. NEXT f. English, unless you prefer something else. NEXT g. Uncheck all of the Office programs. NEXT h. NEXT 8. Once the install is complete, uncheck Readme, and let the program Launch 9. If this is the first install of Groupwise or you are a new user in Windows XP running Groupwise for the first time A window will pop up with your login name already filled in. There is no password. 10. Enter the IP address for your school followed by 1677 in the port box. THS 10.2.1.7 TMS 10.1.2.7 ANS 10.7.1.7 RES 10.6.1.7 EGS 10.4.1.7 TES 10.4.1.7 ADM 10.1.1.7
