Taos Cyber Magnet School uses a blended model of instruction.  Curriculum is delivered using the traditional, teacher-led classroom model and virtually via the Internet.  The courses taken are aligned to the state and district graduation requirements.
TCMS works with UNM Taos to provide the teacher-led instruction.  These classes range from science to art classes.  Students with GPAs of 2.0-2.5 or better, earn dual credit for these courses.
The  provider of high quality, virtual instruction delivers the online courses.  Edgenuity is entirely Internet based.  Lectures, quizzes, online-readings, and online labs offer a unique, individualized learning experience for students. Edgenuity offers career track courses in nursing, medical coding, pharmacy tech., and IT.  The National Network of Digital Schools is the alternative online choice.  This rigorous curriculum utilizes textbooks and online instruction. Highly qualified teachers review student work and offer feedback and guidance.

TCMS recognizes that many students need extra support in their math studies.  The majority of math courses at Cyber are taught by a math teacher and are not taken online.  The math courses offered at Cyber follow the state requirement for graduation. The student to teacher ratio in these courses is quite low, so students get the individual attention they need.  Students also have access to after-school tutoring four days a week to get help with math.  UNM Taos Upward Bound Program also offers in-school tutoring three days a week.
Taos Cyber Magnet School is part of the municipal school system of Taos; therefore, we are open to all students free of charge.  Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  There are only twenty-six spots available and they go fast, so let us know, as soon as possible, if you are interested in enrolling.
