Principal Dr. Anthony Medina is a native to Taos, he is from Des Montes and was also a product of the Taos Municipal Schools. Dr. Medina attended Arroyo Seco Elementary, Taos Middle School and Taos High School. He also had the rare privilege of teaching at all schools he attended as a student. Dr. Medina also held positions at the Texas Education Agency, The Rio Grande Educational Collaborative and he was also a business owner, here in Taos.
Dr. Medina received his bachelor’s in science at the University of Redlands, in Los Angeles California, his Master of Arts from New Mexico State University and his Ph.D. from the University of Texas, at Austin, in Educational Management and Development. Dr. Medina has been in education, as a teacher and principal, for 33 years and has been an administrator at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
Dr. Medina believes all students have the potential to be anything they dream to be, and it is up the school, the staff and families to make those dreams come true. After so many years of being away from his birthplace and community, Dr. Medina is honored to return to his community to help serve and be a useful agent of positive change.
